Company is GONE and I lost access to my websites on March 21, 2021. Sites are gone. No access to the company at all. They don't answer phones or emails. Can't log in to their site. They still are debiting auto payments though. Had to cancel my credit card. ABSOLUTELY CRIMINAL.

This used to be a good company. They tried years ago to reduce their customer support but brought it back after complaints. Now, they are using covid as an excuse to shut down their phone lines, although their website lists all the phone numbers and encourages people to call in. Nope. They also have an alleged 24-7 chat that is NEVER available. Instead of resolving the many email issues that are piling up, in one 10 minute phone call, I have spent 2 weeks back and forth on email with new problems arising and old ones recurring. I would avoid this company like the plague!

I am trying to figure out why my website no longer works and my domain name has expired even though I paid for its renewal through MacHighway. Extremely disappointed. At this point, I'm just trying to get a hold of MacHighway since they already took our money. Their phone doesn't work, they don't reply to emails, and their chat has been down as well. This is costing us severe professional damage.

I have been with this company for a long time, over five years, and recently I've been having serious issues. One, my cpanel keeps getting hacked even with strong password changes. Two, my site keeps having serious down time. Three, my sites continue to be flagged. Every time I talked to someone about it they "fix" the problem and two days later it happens again. I'm looking for a better hosting company where my biz site will not go down ever few days and lose me money.

I've had issues with MacHighway for a while now. I'm making the switch currently to another host and registrar.

Their tech support is incredibly thick-headed and often takes several days to help.

My website has been hacked four times in the last two months. I private security audit found that their port settings make my site vulnerable to hackers. MacHighway has been unresponsive about this.

It's a truly bad host and registrar.

Like many of the other disappointed longtime MacHighway (MH) users posting poor reviews here, I have been with MH for a very long time and have supported their growth, in large part because of the great customer service and responsive tech support. But with the company being recently sold, these values and benefits are no longer a priority. Read through the many poor reviews on this site and you'll get a clear picture of what to expect when you host your sites with the "new" MH, i.e. sites getting hacked or going down, requests for help being ignored, customers being misled, lack of accountability, apathetic customer service, incompetent tech support, etc. My experience has been no different.

My sites recently became unresponsive after being notified by Google that the sites had been hacked and social engineering content had been installed in all of the site's directories (you'll find this is now a common trend at MH). One week later, after first notifying MH of the problem by phone and opening a help ticket, writing 3 emails, and making 2 more phone calls, the sites are still unresponsive and offline. Worse, although everyone I've been in contact with at MH seem to be nice, they all tell me it shouldn't be taking this long to move my sites to a different server and restore from a previous safe backup. No one there can tell me exactly what's going on and how long it will take to get the sites back up and running. I was told by one rep the reason it is taking so long was that they "guys back there" were dealing with a "glitch" in the system. Laughable, right? More like a major snafu. But I can't really blame the customer service reps, they don't really seem to have a clue what they're talking about or what is going on "back there." They seem as dumbfounded as I am.

If you're considering a new hosting service, I would highly suggest avoiding the growing pains at MH! Move down the highway to a more reputable hosting service that can handle the growth without immaturity, deceitfulness, irresponsibility, and self-sabotaging. If you're an existing customer and are wondering what happened to MH, you're not alone! Run for the hills, far away, and don't look back!

Hosted 3-4 websites over the years with Machighway but leaving now. Original group of employees was highly recommended on Mac forums as polite, helpful. But that was a long time ago. Now, customer service is uneven, unhelpful. Had some minor tech issues but latest was them charging my credit card without authorization. Paid one invoice and then despite me checking box to delete card, they somehow charged it for a completely different product -one of these 'we keep your credit card on file' scams. They claim you can't delete your card by the way-sleazy.

Could have been resolved with a quick call. But 4 weeks went by w/ no reasonable explanation and claims of missing my emails (interesting given they run system). Smug remarks from Stacey in billing that no refund was coming, this is how they operate so I should so what is best for me. So I did a chargeback and am moving all sites. Found many better options.”
