the load time is just waiting for Gate.com's server to respond before any files are even loaded. My own websites hosted on Gate.com fared far, far worse. There's also a strange disconnect between technical service, customer service, and billing. You have to call them directly to get anything done as I did not receive timely email responses on urgent issues. Their billing practices are also hugely problematic, as you can see if you Google "Gate.com complaints". I sincerely wish I never gave this company my credit card information. I don't know why anyone running a Wordpress site would go with Gate instead of a recommended host like Bluehost, Dreamhost, or Siteground: https://wordpress.org/hosting/ I hope this review is helpful for folks to avoid losing all the time and money I spent on Gate.com.
